Social Services
This past year has been a productive but also busy year for our community social service agencies. Unfortunately 2011 has also proved trying for many as the down economy, unemployment and other sources of stress have taken their toll on many families and individuals.
Rebuilding Haiti
I am a member of the 808th Engineer Company which is a U.S. Army Reserve unit based in Houston, Texas. In May of 2011 my unit joined the TF Bon Voizen (“Good Neighbor”) unit from Louisiana on a mission to rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake of 2010.
