Technetics Group will design, manufacture, and test a precision shear diaphragm assembly for your application. Precision diaphragms are capable of precise and reliable burst point from low pressures on up.
Precision Burst Discs
Making use of patented Belleville snap-over trigger mechanism to achieve extreme accuracy. Diaphragm thickness resists 2 to 3 times the burst set pressure, thus is less subject to fatigue. May be repeatedly pressure cycled up to 98% of set burst pressure without altering performance.
It has been demonstrated that Belleville type burst discs are one order of magnitude more accurate than Frangible type burst discs.
Normal Position
System pressure below rupture setting. Bellville spring provides a calculated pre-load by retainer with micrometer precision adjustment.
During Snap-Over
System pressure at rupture setting. Diaphragm dynamically contacts hollow punch.
Snap-Over Position
Diaphragm sheared by punch for full flow. Sheared segments travel toward catch screen.
